Pioneer: Apple readying Bluetooth iPod adapter

A Pioneer Electronics spokesman claims that Apple will soon be introducing a Bluetooth iPod adapter that will allow the device to play music wirelessly through the company’s new DEH car stereo head units. Pioneer’s new DEH car sound system lineup allows users with a Bluetooth cell phone to make or accept calls through the car’s speakers, and would add wireless music via the iPod adapter. Such an adapter, which would presumably work with other Bluetooth audio devices (speakers, headphones, etc.), has been rumored for some time. An automotive product manager at Motorola said last year that Apple planned to introduce an iPod or add-on accessory with Bluetooth. Motorola said at the time that it was close to releasing a system to allow users to listen to music from their iPod or have hands-free phone conversations through their car speakers.

As I understand it, full-fidelity stereo sound requires Bluetooth 2.0. Does anyone know for sure?

Such a device already exists produced by iCombi! It is compatible with the Oakley OROKR and works great!

Apple will release an iPod add on, in the fork of a Bluetooth device that uses the docking port. You will see that I’m right. Theh when enough people have wasted their money on that new toy, they will release a new iPod with it built in, so what you going to do??? Yes yes you know it walk like a zombie down to the nearest Apple store and hand over a fist of cash!!!
